Automobiles in German Town Discovered Covered with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Report

Police stated they were notified by a individual who found a automobile in Hanau covered with reddish substance

Roughly fifty vehicles have been covered with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the German town of Hanau near Frankfurt, according to law enforcement.

Cars, exterior walls and postal boxes were defaced, occasionally with swastikas, they stated in a release.

Police state they were alerted late on Wednesday, when a individual discovered that a vehicle in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been smeared with a red-colored substance.

The liquid had been drawn in the pattern of a banned symbol, they stated.

Officers then located multiple other vandalized automobiles and house walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

Nazi symbols are illegal in Germany under legislation outlawing the visible presentation of Nazi symbols.

Law enforcement say initial examinations show the substance was likely blood from a person.

"There is still no indication as to its origin; officials are presently not informed of any physical harm in relation with the event," they added.

Municipal representatives announced they were attempting "to unravel the case" and have appealed to the community for tips.

An important official stated the incident made him speechless and had to be resolved promptly.

"This event affects the very heart of Hanau and reopens the trauma of the extremist attack half a decade ago," he wrote on social media, mentioning the death of nine victims by a shooter aiming at residents of immigrant origin in five years prior.
